Softener

Water hardness represents polyvalent metallic cations in water, which are mainly of divalent cations, especially Ca₂+ and Mg₂+.  Water  hardness is normally expressed as  CaCO₃. Hardness  causes scale, e.g. in pipes,  kettles and washing  machines.  It also  reacts with  soap to form   scum,  hence   excessive amount  of soap  to   form   lather.Furthermore water hardness might contribute to colour and taste of water.

IOTA Thailand provides Ion-Exchange Softener, a modern and efficient way to reduce water hardness.   Our softener contains  resin  which  can  exchange its  cations with cations  that  cause hardness.   In other words,  hardness is absorbed by the resin and non-hardness ions are released into the water   instead, as shown in the  equation below.
